Varietal: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes:  Red Berry, Cassis, Cherry, Silky Tannin

Established in the 13th century, Chateau de Fontenille is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, France between the Garonne and the Dordogne Rivers. Stéphane Defraine bought the property in 1989 and has renovated the buildings and replanted the vineyards.

This is a solid, yet inexpensive Bordeaux. 50% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. The wine pairs well with chicken, beef, and hearty stews.
