WHY WE LIKE IT – Campari fans will appreciate its complex array of botanicals; Aperol fans will like that it’s less aggressively bitter. And anyone who loves good drinks will appreciate that it’s rich and weighty, made from a grape brandy base. Contratto Bitter is all natural – no artificial colors or flavors. Its color comes from vegetable extracts – carrots and beetroot.
TASTING NOTES – Round and aromatic on the nose with just a touch of vanilla. Rich, generous and layered on the palate with a touch of bitterness on the palate from the orange peel, with a nice warming spice on the finish.
PRODUCTION NOTES – A slow, cold maceration process is carried out according to tradition, and the result is a 22% liqueur.
